Small Groups: where the big church becomes the small church

We are excited that you are looking into the small group ministry here at Northcliffe.  Our desire for all of our small groups is that they are places where we can grow in our faith, in a community of people who love and care about us, kind of like a loving an extended family.  There are two different kinds of small groups at Northcliffe that we would love for you to join.

Life Groups:

A Life Group is the place where we connect with the family atmosphere of Northcliffe.  We want your experience in a Life Group to feel a bit like visiting home.  The Life Groups at Northcliffe cover a variety of ages and stages of life.  We would love for you to try one out, but if that one doesn’t feel like a good fit for you, we would love for you to try another one.  Below is a list of the Life Groups, we look forward to meeting with you soon.

Explore the fascinating account of the building of the Old Testament tabernacle, the significance of its intricate design, its pivotal role in God’s eternal plan, the grand fulfillment of its purpose by Jesus Christ, and its variety of meanings for your walk with God today.  No Old Testament event so richly prefigures the coming of the true Tabernacle, Jesus Christ. You will be challenged to prepare your heart, like the holy of holies, to become a home for His love and glory — a dwelling place for the Most High God.

An Introduction to Systematic Theology

Facilitator: Armando Zeron | Wednesdays @ 6:30 PM [1/11-5/3] | Room D-1

Many people react negatively to the word “theology”, believing it involves dry, fruitless arguments about minute points of doctrine. Yet, Dr. R. C. Sproul argues, everyone is a theologian. Learn why it’s important to put the varied teachings in the Bible together in a systematic fashion so we arrive at a theology that is founded on truth.

Isaiah’s Prophecies [Men’s Bible Study]

Facilitator: John Graham | Wednesdays @ 6:30 PM [1/4-5/10] | Room D-7/9

This men’s Bible study will focus on chapters 40-66 of the book of Isaiah.  Come and learn of Isaiah’s prophecies of how the “Holy One of Israel” comforts and redeems His people through a new exodus from the ultimate slavery – the slavery to sin.

The Book of Revelation

Facilitator: John Reddy | Wednesdays @ 6:30 PM [1/11-4/26] | Room D-8/10

Are you disturbed by the world events of today?  The book of Revelation tells us how this world is going to end.  It gives a promise of hope for the believer.  Join us for this 12-week class as Revelations comes to life!

A Study of the Gospel of John: That You May Believe

Facilitators: Chris Chambers and John Reddy | Sundays @ 5:30 PM | Family Life Center

God Almighty, before the beginning of the world, thought about us and planned our redemption.  As Christians, since the Holy Spirit dwells within our hearts, we should all find ourselves desiring to know God more intimately. The gospel of John helps us learn more about God by bringing us face-to-face with God incarnate, the Word made flesh, the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
